GROOMING POLICIES
CANCELLATIONS
I understand that sometimes appointments need to be cancelled, all I ask is that you please provide
at least 48 hours’ notice so I can offer other dogs this slot. No shows or failure to provide 48 hours
for cancellations will be charged 50% of your appointment price.
Clients who have missed a previous appointment will be asked to provide a 50% appointment price
deposit, this will be deducted from the final payment. These payments are non-refundable in the
instance of a no-show or late cancellation.

MATTING
Under the Animal Legislation Act 2006 and for the kindness and comfort of your dog, a matted coat
will require a necessary clip-off. This takes additional time and is also hard wearing on my blades,
extra charges of up to £15 per half an hour may apply. In removing severe matting, the skin can be
red due to the lack of air circulation and dirt that has accumulated underneath. Occasionally there
are sores or infections, this may need veterinary treatment. I will discuss this with you at the
appointment.

FLEAS
If you find your dog has fleas please cancel your appointment, I kindly advise you to carry out the
treatment. Please also speak to your vet for the best-recommended treatment and re-book for a
later date. If your dog is found to be carrying fleas during the grooming. A surcharge of £20 may apply
to cover flea elimination of the van after the groom.
BEHAVIOUR
Patsy’s Pooches Dog Groomers have the right to refuse to groom any dog for the health and safety
of the groomer and dog. A groom may be discontinued if a dog presents behavioural issues,
aggression issues, health problems or parasites. The groom will be charged according to the time spent with your dog
